We are chuffed to announce the signing of two fine young dart players on a Performance Darts kit deal. This deal has been brewing for ages but with December and January being so crazy in the darts world we have only just crossed the T’s.
First up is Surrey’s Ella Williams. Ella is thirteen and first started playing darts seriously at the age of 10, when she joined the Andover darts academy. She then joined Berkshire youth and two local surrey adult mixed darts leagues, where she still plays today.

Ella plays in the Berkshire Women’s super league and Wiltshire super league. Her proudest moments are now having represented Wiltshire at senior level on 5 occasions winning lady of the match twice and winning the Southern counties Youth title at the Circus Tavern.
Ella qualified for the L Style World masters, last year where she played at the civic hall in Grays, winning her first game, before eventually losing to the reigning Canadian girls champion.
Ella’s county walk on music is “Umbrella” by Rhianna. Her favourite dart player is Scott “Scotty dog “Mitchell.
Ella receives fantastic support from her family and in particular, her dad Darren, who has been a long-term supporter of the Darts Performance Centre and Performance Darts. Ella actually kicked off her dart playing career with a set of our Optimum Darts. Darren told me he thought the Optimum darts designed by David Gill were perfect for youngsters to first start playing the game with.
Ella has subsequently moved on to our Gun Metal darts
Our second signing is another young lady, fifteen year old, Alex Dorney. Alex plays for Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire County Youth as well as the Ladies Buckinghamshire Super League. She has also just been selected for her first Senior County game to represent Montgomery and Radnor.
Alex’s walk on song is “pump it” by The Black Eyed Peas and her favourite dart player is Fallon Sherrock.

Alex has achieved some amazing things in her short career so far. She won the “most improved player” award for Buckinghamshire Youth, she finished number 4 ranked girl at the end of 2018 and number 3 at the end of 2019in England. She currently sits as number 2 ranked under 18 girl in England. She has qualified for the England Matchplay for the last 2 years as well as the Grand Prix Finals, she was selected for the first ever Youth Pentathlon and reached the semi-final at the Northern Youth UK Challenge.
The highlight so far though according to Alex was reaching the final at the England Classic at Selsey closely followed by taking a leg of Fallon in a Super League game this year.
“Little Dorney” also gets tremendous support from her family and her Father Andrew brought Alex down to the New Forest Masters in November last year. Her next goal is to be selected for the Youth North v South game later this year as well as getting back to the number 1 spot in the u18 girls England rankings. Alex also uses Performance Darts – our Dual Grip set.
