It was another amazing weekend for our Performance Darts players. First up Adam Smith-Neale travelled to Slovakia for the Slovak Open. Big Dog was seeded 26 and is still of course trying to regain his form after his accident.
It turned out to be a very good weekend! Adam reached the Final of the Slovak Open narrowly missing out to Wesley Harms 6:5. Hopefully a turning point for Big Dog and his Performance Darts.
Sometimes events happen that our darts are involved in that make us so proud. If you had told me when we first started making the Performance Darts that they would be used at the Lakeside, Ally Pally and the PDC World Cup I would have thought you were nuts!
Well at the weekend we had another of those moments. A very good friend of Performance Darts, and the creator of the stunning Optimum Darts, David “The Phantom” Gill, played for England in the first ever WDDA World Cup!

15 countries, 13 teams and over 70 disabled players were competing in Belgium in the inaugural tournament. David played for England B who got off to a cracking start beating Germany before going out in the group stage.
In the singles event David beat Hendrik Vanthournot 3:1 in the first round and then went out to Bjorn Schiweck 3:2 in Round 2.
So, what an honour for us – The Optimum Performance Darts being chucked at the first ever WDDA World Cup! Well done Phantom and start training for next year!
