Weekend – Scottish Open and the Pro Tour

It was a mixed weekend for Team Performance Darts. We had both Adam Smith-Neale and Diogo Portela competing in the Scottish Open. Big Dog is still trying to regain his best form after his recent injury and went out in a Last 256 game 3:1 V Matthew Shadwick.

Brazilliant on the other hand had a great run. Overcoming the mayhem of Saturday’s play Diogo fought through to the end of the day and a coveted spot in the Last 32 that was played on Sunday.

To get there Diogo beat:

Joe McKenna 3:0

Martin Brophy 3:0

Jim McEwan 3:2

And the scalp of

Jim Williams 3:2, he then beat

Last 64 Dave Kirwan 4:1 to reach the last 32.

On Sunday Jared Rafferty was Diogo’s next victim (5:0) and then Brazilliant’s progress was thwarted by the experienced Paul Hogan ( 5:2)

It was a great run though and to top off a great weekend Brazilliant teamed up with practice partner, Cody Harris to win the pairs v Martijn Kleemaker and Chris Landman.

PDC
George Killington made a welcome return with his Killer darts to play his first tournament of the new season. It was a tough baptism to 2019 and on Saturday John Michael beat “Killer” 6:3 in Event 3 on Saturday and on Sunday George drew Kyle Anderson in the first round and went out 6:0
